Storytelling, for me, is a way of connecting with others. In our stories, we share bits of ourselves - our values, our origins, our perspectives and our experiences. Since I have returned to my studies in the social sciences, I am discovering new ways in which storytelling can be used as a medium to explore and express social and cultural consciousness (both collective & personal) and aspects of identity (individual & shared).
This blog is an extension of two, larger projects I have been dedicated to for the past few years. My intention is to curtail self-censorship and write in a free-associative style. These exercises and meditations may not turn out poetics, but they will be a record of my existence- the places I inhabit, the people I meet and interact with, the relationships I forge.
This is not a lifestyle blog, nor am I an expert of any kind. I am simply someone attempting to expand my knowledge through experiential and creative processes, while orientating myself in time and space.
